[It's 7-something in the morning and when Takatora's ringtone starts up again it signals the fifth phone call he's already taken since waking up. Not that that sort of thing is a concern to him; it's part of his job to be informed of events and handle any necessarily issues or authorisations that crop up.

It wouldn't be very professional to take his calls from his bed so he's at the desk in his bedroom, fully clothed, if somewhat more casually than usual, considering a few more shirt buttons are open than one would expect. It was adequate enough at the time and that's all the matters.

Nobody is going to see currently except for Basco.

Ah, yes. Basco. He had done... that again last night. Wine had been involved.

Perhaps he'll simply realise how busy Takatora is and see himself quietly out?

That wasn't in the original draft of the contract I read, and I hadn't agreed to any alterations. Have it sent to my home so that I can inspect it-

Well, that makes this a little harder then. [He clicks the phone on redial and shuffles over to the other side of the bed and out of Takatora's reach as he puts the phone to his ear.]

Takatora of course has to charge around the bed because he isn't about to dive onto it and flop against the mattress flailing to reach to wrestle the phone from Basco's grasp. And he doesn't dare hiss Basco's name in warning; his personal matters are private and he doesn't need to disclose the name of his bedpartner to anyone, especially not a subordinate who might overhear!]

Stop that! [He hisses but it's only as loud as he dares, which is... Not very loud.]

Sorry to call back but, unfortunately, Mr. Kureshima has urgent matters he must attend to and will be temporarily unreachable until further notice. He would like to apologize to you but please disregard his earlier request and it would be advised that you direct further questions to his secretary. Thank you.

[Rolling back over to his original side of the bed and, as he hangs up and puts the phone on the bedside table.....he drops it into the cup of coffee that Takatora was nice enough to pour for him.]

[All Takatora can do is listen in horror because he is actually too stunned to reach out and snatch the phone back and start to undo the damage.

Nope, it's been done. Basco has delegated his duties.

But that's not all. As if he knows somehow that the first thing Takatora will do is redial and belay those instructions, Basco-

Basco drops the phone into his coffee.

[Sits there in bed while fishing the phone out of the coffee cup. But it's already dead from the looks of it.]

Well, I wasn't exactly planing to throw it into my drink.

It's an oversight that I do not have a replacement... [Yeah, honestly this is Takatora's fault for not seeing it coming.] Perhaps the household line would be sufficient temporarily...

Or you indulge a little and accept the fact that I just gave you a day off. I mean, how awkward does it sound for you to call back and try to explain what my completely professional sounding call was? Puts a lot of questions in their head.

[Does his excuse sound as feeble as it feels? He holds a hand to his temple and closes his eyes to think. When he opens them again Basco is, yep, still naked.]

[But distracting is what he does best after all. And he knows that Takatora sees the logic in his answer. Which is why he's quite certain it's safe to walk right up to him and press himself against his clothed body and drape his arms over his shoulders.]

[Takatora should take that as a cue to remove Basco's hands from his person and step away to create distance between them.

...Why he isn't doing that is anyone's guess. Probably because he knows how convincing Basco's body can be.

[That is funny that Takatora isn't doing anything about Basco being pressed up against him. It's also funny that he doesn't seem to be doing anything at all about the hands travelling down to start undoing the few buttons that happened to be done up on his shirt.]
